"a cleansing ritual" 2026

This work was born during a period when the familiar system of my life stopped working.

To find a new path, I turned to childhood memories, family traditions, and images from the past. My father often took me to a woman in our family known as an emshi, a traditional healer. She performed a cleansing ritual using molten lead. I was fascinated by the unpredictable shapes the metal formed, as though the material preserved traces of something invisible.

Years later, I returned to this image through art. I melted lead, allowing it to take shape spontaneously, and joined the fragments with clay. I did not design the sculpture in advance; instead, I let my hands guide the process.

Heavy, fragmented, and unfinished, the sculpture reflects my inner state. Through it, I explore the possibility of breaking apart, reconnecting, and beginning again. This work is my journey back to myself, an attempt to recreate myself not according to blueprints, rules, or others' expectations, but through my own sensations. Perhaps, for the first time, freely.

"charyn pavilion" 2025

Charyn Canyon is often called “Mars” because its terrain is believed by scientists and visitors alike to resemble the surface of the Red Planet. Imagine being able to teleport directly to Mars. This pavilion is a portal through which visitors symbolically travel from Earth to Mars. Charyn becomes a place where, without leaving Earth, one can experience the feeling of crossing into another world.

Visitors are welcomed by a circular platform surrounded by three sharp, rising forms that appear to cut through the ground and emerge from its depths. The portal can accommodate three people at a time, as the number three has traditionally been considered auspicious in Kazakh culture. Facing each visitor is a bronze-tinted mirror. It reflects their image against the backdrop of Charyn Canyon, creating the illusion that they are already standing on Mars.

the pavilion can function as a temporary exhibition that attracts visitors while serving as an architectural performance within the natural landscape.

"VILLA ON THE ROCK" 2024

A Seamless Integration of Architecture and Nature. Imagine a structure embedded into the rock, where the building materials and natural stones complement and support each other both inside and out. This concept of a villa seamlessly integrated with nature transcends conventional architecture, presenting a harmonious blend of human ingenuity and natural beauty. Perched on a rugged mountain cliffside, this architectural marvel draws inspiration from the intricate shapes and textures of coral. The building's design features fluid lines and curves reminiscent of sea creatures, creating an organic form that seems to grow from the rock itself.

This villa in the rock is more than just a building; it is a statement of how architecture can harmonize with the natural environment. Its fluid lines and smooth curves create a dynamic and visually striking form, showcasing the potential for innovative and sustainable architectural design. This architectural masterpiece is a testament to the power of thoughtful design and the endless possibilities of harmonizing human creations with the natural world.
